Happy Friday

Our weekend is packed full of stuff to do, but my only goal is to make it to the gym one day for a Spin class. Starting off  March with reaching for my goals instead of letting the slip by.

Beautiful day

It was beautiful out yesterday! As, I mentioned I hit our local paved trail to do my C25k run.  After I completed my run, I decided I should walk to the lake before turning back, since the little one was asleep in the stroller.

By the time I got to the lake it was almost noon! The sun was up, it was warm and I was actually wanting to find some shade. 

Seriously, how beautiful is this day! Sunny in February, in Washington! 
 I love this photo! This was along the trail, it looks out of kind of a swampy land. The image is just so out of place for the area we are in.

I told you it was warm, but the end of the walk I was just in my tank top! 

Yes, this post may seem like I am bragging. I might be just a little, but I can't help it the SUN makes me happy!  I can only hope today will turn out as nice, even if today is a strength day if the sun is shining I will be outside soaking it up.

Weigh in Wednesday

I finally did it, I took a picture of my scale.

I want to cry, because my toenail polish looks terrible! LMAO! I need to fix that soon. I am not proud of this number, but it is down from Feb 17th (255lbs). My goal now is not to sabotage myself. Those first few lbs always come off easy.

I can see the sun peaking out of the clouds this morning, I am going to hit our local trail up with the baby and jogging stroller. The C25K program seems to go better when I am running outside.

Last night I reread some of the passages in my book on ME diet. I know I have posted about it before, I need a reminder on how to eat properly for my body without counting calories. I am trying to give up calorie counting and making this change a lifestyle change versus a diet. I am done having kids and just getting older so any weight gain going forward will be my fault. I am working on overcoming past failures and getting on the right track.

New week, new day

This weekend I really worked on getting better on the eating track. Then we decided to use our popcorn machine we received as a gift for Christmas. A mini one of these! It makes really good popcorn - I think I ate to much!

Oh well, however I did sit down and write a workout plan out and it looks  like this:

Monday: C25K - week 4
Tuesday: 20 minute strength
Wed: C25K
Thursday: 20 minute strength
Friday: C25K
Sat/Sun - whatever I feel like.

My venture back to running has been slow. I miss it, yet I don't. I think for now I am sticking to 5K distance and see where I go from there. 

I know it is still February, but I am setting goals for March:
- Run 3x a week
- Strength train 2x a week at least 20 minutes
- Get back to the gym for Spin Class. I have been waiting for Flu season to be over before I put the little one in the gym daycare.  4 Classes this month
- Work Pilates or Yoga into my workouts at least 1x a week. I have a great Pilates DVD that is only 35 minutes and nap time is the perfect time for it. I just need to do it. Goal 4x this month
- Weight loss 10lbs (starting from Feb 17th, when I weighed in at 255)
- Sign up and participate in a race

Where did the time go?

Has it really been a month? Have been neglecting this blog as I work to get my business up and running. It is a slow start and many things have been put on the back burner.  I joined two dietbets in January and lost both.  Working out has been sporadic, just when I got on a roll I got sick. Now, we are on mid winter break from school and I am finding every excuse in the book to not workout.

I have no goals this year, I am having trouble getting motivated to make a goal. I want to blame it on the weather, but honestly we have had a pretty mild winter so far. The time for blame needs to stop. A group of friends started our own version of ebates using paypal, since last time all of the winnings were ate up by fees, we decided to just toss $25 into a paypal account and divide it by the winners in 4 weeks.

I am working to find a balance in life for my diet and make things a habit. I am trying to give up counting calories, as it works, but only if I count all foods. Instead of focusing on a number I am focusing on better choices, smaller portions and filling foods.

Working out, as I mentioned is not happening. I am making a plan though and figuring out how to execute it. Baby Jillian is almost 7 months and not sleeping through the night, but she is getting pretty regular with her wake up times. I think that I need to just stay up when she wakes at 5AM after her feeding and workout. This will help me avoid making excuses later. But 5AM is so early! Clearly, I am conflicted on what I need to do here. 

One thing, I know I need to do is be more accountable. Writing in this blog helps me with that. For now, my first goal is to right 3x a week. Let's see if I can do that.
