Still no goals

Where have I been for the last month. Well, when you I last wrote I was starting the ME diet and things were going relatively well.

Then we went on a surprise trip to Disneyland a few days after Christmas. We had a blast! We walked about 20,000 steps a day and while I enjoyed a churro I was fairly careful about what I ate.

We came home on new years eve and I set a New Years Resolution that night to not eat fast food for a month. I am not a fan of fast food, but it can be easy at times. I had gotten in a bad habit and well, my waist line was paying for it. I can say 17 days into the new year and I have not gone to fast food once. In fact, yesterday was the first day I even went to Starbucks which is a first also for me.

I started a new at home business with Perfectly Posh, in an effort to stay home with my little one longer and avoid the corporate world as long as possible. I was using the products for over a year and half, so I decided it was time to join their team.  Do me a favor and like my Facebook page. :)

I joined two Dietbets to help motivate me to keep working on losing the weight. However, the balance between dieting and nursing a child is difficult. I seriously don't know what I need to do to lose more weight. I lower my calories, I up my calories, I walk more, I run a little - I get my workouts are not intense but what is going on. I am frustrated but I am not giving up. I will continue to work on it and figure this out. I am not ready to wean yet, but I want this weight gone.

I have completed physical therapy for my IT band and it is feeling great. I have started running, abiet slowly again building back up to a 5K and beyond.

I think that it brings everyone up to speed on me, hope to blog more soon.


  1. Great job staying away from fast food Jen! It's hard to balance nursing and dieting, try not to get frustrated. You are doing a great job! How is the Dietbet going? Is it helping to keep you motivated at all? I know for me it helps to check in and see what others are doing. I've been posting workouts on there too if you want to try them out:)

  2. I am so there….we just got back from a long MLK weekend in Disney World…it was WONDERFUL and so were all the extra treats…I now have to reel this craziness in and look at what is really going on with my attitude/mind set/eating thang. ;-)

    I feel soooo much of my eating is related to the horrible MN winters….I don't want to go out and freeze so I stay home and grab comfort foods.

  3. Your website looks great. I would love to work from home but it never pays the same as I'm making now. Maybe when I'm close to retirement I can work fewer days on my day job and do something from home.

    I hear you on the weight thing, I'm struggling with it a lot at the moment too. But we both should keep trying, one day we will succeed.
