It's the little things

This week I humbly started the C25K. First goal to stop using the treadmill handrails. I have an addiction to holding on. I don't need to hold on, but my hands just go there.  Monday and today I kept telling myself to get my hands of the treadmill over and over in my head. I can say that I successfully didn't use them once.

Of course the entire time this is what I was picturing in my head:

I know its the little things right. For Tuesday's workout I got on my spin bike. Sadly, in my 40 minutes of spinning I only burned 250 calories per my heart rate monitor. I need to step it up a bit, in order to help with that I downloaded and interval timer for my phone. This should help me when I crank up the resistance to keep focused.

Next up, goals. I really need to set some goals to get me through the rest of the year. Especially with all the food filled holiday's on the way.

  1. It feels so awkward to me when I grab the handrails on the treadmill. I do it sometimes to see what my heart rate is and it totally throws off my stride. I think the interval timer is a great idea!

  2. I hear ya girl....I had very good intentions of going to the Y after work....then, I started feeling dizzy and sickly....I went home and found a friend had left doughnuts for the family. ugh! I ate 2 doughnuts and took a 2-hour nap.

I am feeling not so dizzy but I am pretty sure that is NOT what the doctor ordered. ha!

  3. I had to laugh when I first started reading this because I was running on the treadmill yesterday and reached to hold on at one point and could immediately hear Jillian in my head telling me not to.
