St. Patrick's Day Dash

After a week of being sick, one trip to urgent care to learn my cold crap had caused an inner ear issue that was extremely painfully.

I finally started to feel better.

Saturday I was at about 80% and by Sunday morning I was about 95% so I decided to go to the Seattle St. Patricks Day dash. It also, helped that when I woke up it was cold and sunny out.  I have a green shirt on as well, even with the sun shining it was just to cold to take my coat off.

I love this event. People really dress up and one of these years I will take pictures of all the awesome costumes. I saw a bunny, a rainbow and green eggs and spam. Yes, a group of people were dressed as giant eggs and one person was an over sized can of Spam.

My husband and I decided to just walk it, making this event my personal worst in the past 6 years with a time of 1 hour and 4 minutes. That is okay, because we got to enjoy the event and get our monies worth. :) Hopefully, next year I will be back at it for a new PR.

Did you race in honor of St. Patricks day this weekend?

  1. Glad that you are feeling better and congrats on finishing the race! I didn't race yesterday, but cheered at the Georgia Marathon while my hubby ran. I felt like I had done a marathon by the time I was done! :)

  2. At least you did something....times don't matter....what matters is to keep moving. I on the other hand did not run in any St. Patrick's Day event and there were a lot going on around here. ;-(

I hear ya on the personal worst! I had several of those last year. I was hoping to turn it around in 2013, but I'm already headed down the path I took in 2012. lol Oh, well.
