What is next?

If you look in my right hand nav bar, I have no races listed?

So what's next?

That is a good questions. Something I have been trying to figure out since before the 3-day walk. I am not signed up for any events in 2013 and I feel like I am falling behind.

I started a 9 day cleanse on Saturday and I will share more on that once I successfully complete all 9 days. I gained more weight then I am ready to admit over the summer and this past month. Who would have thought that walking would make you want to eat everything, just like running does. Either way I am not waiting for the new year to start losing weight.

I also downloaded a Couch to 5K app on my phone last night. I know I should be able to get out and start running again, but it has been a while since I made an effort to run so I might as well ease my way back into it.  Julie asked me to do a 5K with the fam in December and I am thinking about signing up for that. We shall see.

Besides that I am going to continue to do Hot Yoga 2 nights a week and maybe start up ChaLean Extreme DVDs again. Remember I bought those in June, did them for a while and stopped. I really like those workouts and need to get more cross training into my running life. I think its time I sat down with a calendar and planned out some workouts.

Do you have 2013 planned out yet?

  1. No...but, I have been thinking of it...I really want to get stronger. Period! Stronger for my hip, knees, etc....concentrate on lifting and strength a little more w/ shorter runs/cycle classes and mixing up the rest.

    Then I secretly really want to do another half marathon or at least a 10 miler... I need to be strong...2013=strength!

  2. Not yet. I am thinking about doing the 12 k's of Christmas in Kirkland. I have done it twice and it's pretty fun, you should sign up:) I have to find 2races in December to reach my 12 in 2012 goal this year.

  3. I've got a lot of maybes on my 2013 race calendar but I've only registered for a few races so far. This time last year I feel like I had already registered for all of my races for the first half of the year. Allan and I are both planning to shed a few pounds in the New Year too and he wants us to do either P90X or Insanity. 2013 is going to be quite a year!
