Friday Five

One:  Finally after months and months of talking about it I went to Hot Yoga on Thursday night. This means I will be moving  my 6 mile walk to Friday night. What can I say I make a hot Friday night date.

I forgot how Hot it is in Hot Yoga, okay I didn't really forget but my body was totally shocked. It has been almost 10 months since the last time I went to Yoga and I felt like a total slacker. I had to take extra breaks and at times just sit down to keep from feeling like I was going to vomit. Once it was over, I wished that they class was longer and I am glad that I signed up fro 8 class a month. Trying to figure out how I can squeeze all 8 in this month.

Two: Last night my daughter was picking out her toy to take to class for show and tell.....she got excited and I said I know I am going to take my new button I got at the Salmon Days Festival.

I had to tell her that she couldn't take it to school and to pick something else. We asked her if she new what it said and she said no, but she liked it.

Three: On Wednesday the local elementary school about a mile from my house was put on lock because of a Momma bear and three little cubs exploring the school grounds. In the 10 year I have lived by in this town I have never seen a bear come out of the woods. As mentioned above we did have our local Salmon Festival last week which means the creek leading to the fish hatchery in town is full of bear fear food.  You can see the cute little buggers here.

Four: Sunday I plan to participate in the Cupcake Classic with Julie and family.  Afterwards we will be eating these. From New York Cupcake

Five: I posted on Facebook yesterday that one of my teammates is $25 away from reaching her fundraising goal for the 3-Day walk. I offered up a BicBand to the first person who is willing to donate to help her reach her goal. The option is still open - if you would like to make a donation to my teammate please do HERE and I will send you a BicBand. :)

Any fun plans this weekend?

  1. Oh yum...but unfortunately those cupcakes are only available on Tuesday...we'll have to see what the Sunday selections are like! Do you like coconut? I'll pick out something tasty. They have my favorite frosting - it's light, not heavy like Trophy and the other place.

    1. Well whatever they have will be AWESOME - unless you get a mint flavor, I hate mint. :P)

  5. That button cracks me up. When I saw that on fb I totally laughed!!

Those bears are adorable! And really, that's a pretty good reason to have things locked. I mean I got nervous it was one of those scary school shooting type things, but no - just nature, cute nature!
