The first rule of....

The weekend was a bit rough on my legs. I did back to back walks again. The first walk was 5 miles + a 5K.  The second walk was 6 miles on the treadmill and the 6 miles were harder hands down then the 8 miles on Saturday.

While I was walking today I started thinking about the time commitment that this walk is going to take up.  This walk was 7 and 6 miles, but as we get close to the walk day the walks get longer. The longest weekend is 17 and 15 miles. I can't even think about how long that will take.  This week looks like this:

Last week I had to watch a safety video that talks about how to stay safe on the walk. What did I  learn from the video. The first rule of the fight club  - You don't talk about fight club. Ok so its not that extreme but there are things that will get you banned from the walk. Such thinks like running. No running is allowed and can get you pulled from the walk.  I understand they want you to walk for your own safety, but even a little jog now and then would help break up the day.

Every get odd sayings stuck in your head? I have been thinking the first rule of XXX, is you don't talk about XX about all sorts of things this weekend.

  1. I agree...I say I am going for a walk and after a mile or so I start a little jog..it just breaks it up. I really like the walk/jog feel too. ;-)

Don't know if I could do it if they say they would pull you from the walk if you jog???

  3. So funny that they don't let you run. I always wondered about that. That would be a nice change of pace after so much walking.

    1. I know strange right. I mean I totally get the saftey side of it....but still strange that it could get you removed. I am sure they give you warnings, but still.

  4. I might have a hard time not running at all. There would have to be someone really engaging for me to walk with that could keep me still!
