Weekend Update

Last week I had a pretty good week. I new I was packing my week full and I think I did a pretty awesome job getting most of my workouts in, I actually only missed two of my ChaLean Extreme workouts. Those workouts were the ones I was most willing to miss if needed.

Saturday we had our Zumba Fundraiser for the 3-day walk. I had to get up at 6:15AM to drive to the event, help set up and Zumba. We raised just over $300 with corporate matching that will bring one of my teammates up to $600 towards her walk. I rocked my Team-Sparkle hot pink skirt and a Save the Hooters t-shirt  for Zumba.
The bad thing was the T-Shirt was Cotton and after 2 hours of Zumba I was a sweaty mess. I never imagined it would be so tough. My back wasn't to happy with all the hip shaking moves, but it was still a blast. I only wished I lived closer to as the Zumba Class by our instructors are only $5 a class.

Sunday was Father's day - so I pushed my run to the evening. I knew after Zumba on Saturday, followed by Pre-K graduation for the little one there was no way I was waking up early. I woke up to my little one whispering that I needed to get up and come down stairs. She proceeded to fill a box full of random stuff for my husband. She was really excited to give it to him. We had  a relaxing day and I hopped on the treadmill around 7:30PM to finish off my last long run before Seattle RnR. I know the hills in the Seattle RnR are going to kick my butt because I have picked my treadmill more often then I should. Oh well, my goal for this event is to have fun.....let's just hope the rain holds off. Last week the reports said 71, this week its saying cooler with 40% chance of rain. Of course if you are local you know that means nothing. The odds of perdicting the weather right in Seattle might be greater the winning the lottery.

The plan this week:
Monday - Spin + ChaLean Extreme Burn Circuit 3
Tuesday - 4 miles + Burn It Off & Recharge
Wednesday - Spin + Burn Circuit 1
Thursday - 5 miles
Friday - Rest
Saturday - Seattle RnR
Sunday - 3mi easy walk

  2. Zumba is such a tough workout. I was surprised (and uncoordinated) when I tried it.

    Our workout weeks looks similar. Bring on Seattle (rain or shine). Can't wait.
