Hello Friday

It's so good to see you Friday. Especially after sleeping for 10 hours last night. For whatever reason last night my stomach was feeling off. I feel asleep while the family was eating dinner and moved up stairs and was asleep very quickly. Clearly my body needed it but this morning my stomach feels better, but overall I feel worse. I don't need this right now, I just want to going in to a half feeling great.

It's Friday though and I need to get over my mopey self and start looking forward to the weekend. A week with nothing on the plan except a 10 miler on Sunday. My last long run before my half on the 29th.

Before I sign off for the weekend I wanted to send a big thank you to all who have donated to my 3-day walk. I reached my April goal and look forward to exceeding my goal before the deadline.  Because I reached this goal I will be holding a raffle at the end of April for two $15 gift cards. 

I hope that anyone who will be out there racing this weekend has a great weekend and perfect weather. :) What are your plan's for the weekend?

  1. Aw, feel better soon! I skipped a 5 mile run last night because my stomach was unhappy. It was weird.

    Mount Si relay for me this weekend! It's going to be fun.

  2. I hope you feel better. We have baseball from 8:15 am to 9:00pm on Saturday! Crazy! I am so excited for the Hero's Half. I just ordered a really cute stars and stripes running skirt for the race. Are you dressing up?

    1. Not all red, white and blue. But I am wearing run with Jess running takes heart and sole shirt...with a black sparkle skirt, purple run love socks....and I am thinking of making cheap Target socks arm warmers as I am sure it will be cool at the start.

  3. so super jelly of the heroes half. but glad i didn't sign up with that deal since i clearly can't run it.

    HAVE FUN FOR BOTH OF US!!!!

    and now i want a stars and strips skirt too. i think i have taper fever. keep wanting to buy running outfits.

    1. I have an issue with buying running clothing! Its a sick disease. :) If you want to wear one of my team-sparkle skirts for the PDX or SEA RnR you are more then welcome. I have Pink, Green and Black that I am not wearing for either or those events. I am not sure what I am wearing for SEA RnR yet.

  4. Congrats on hitting your April goal!!!! I'm so happy for you. =)

    My Tuesday was an "off" day. It was horrible. I ended up feeling totally barfy most of the day. I was still a little off Wednesday, but not nearly as bad. I'm thinking I was "glutened" at dinner Monday night (restaurants are always tricky for me). Anyway, glad you got some rest! We only do that when we REALLY need the sleep.

  6. I did a 'pump class today, hung out with my mom, and am resting the rest of the evening. Tomorrow - I have a 10K (eek, I haven't run a single step in a month - it's NOT going to look or feel very pretty!).
