I went to donate blood yesterday and my iron levels were a little to low. I was bummed but I will try again next week and hopefully I will be good to go.  The plus side of not being able to give blood is that I was able to get my workout in. My new training plan, which I realized I forgot to post yesterday called for Spin. Since I couldn't go to Spin Class - I headed down to the garage for an hour long Spin on my bike. Before Christmas I picked up a few Spinerval DVDs at the library, but I wasn't in the mood to try them instead I watched Vampire Diaries while I rode.

Here is the plan for the rest of the week -Yoga Classes may turn in to rest days depending on how I feel those days. The mileage is also a goal, if I don't reach those miles I am not worried about it. This week is really just to test my body and see if it is ready to start training for my next half.

Day 1 of the Primal Plan went well, I did have a little bit of a cheat only because we went to the movies and my husband got a small popcorn, a few handfuls made it into my mouth.  I did some basic grocery shopping to get the house stocked again and to keep from eating all of the deliscious treats we brought home from Christmas.

Day 2 of the Primal Plan calls for the following actions to be completed:
  •  Primal Shopping Spree - I plan to visit Trader Joe's and PCC to look for any additional supplies I might need for this plan.
  • Moderate Aerobic Workout - See plan above
  • Calm, Relaxing Evening - This may be difficult as I have a 4 year old. I am going to find a way to give myself 20 minutes of me time, alone time even if I have to lock myself in the bathroom.
I am pretty sure today will be a little more difficult to resist the sugar and I have a feeling my Keurig will be my best friend to help keep the sugar headaches away.

  4. I'm mentally still on a winter holiday, even though I'm at work. Ug. At least everything is slow this time of year.

  5. It is almost physically impossible for me NOT to have a bag of popcorn when I go to movies, it has happened but it was hell and I'm still in recovery ;-)

  6. Oh, I've been feeling those "sugar headaches" for days, now. I feel so cruddy from all of the Christmas treats, but just can't stay away. :(
