7 out of 10

Last night I was going to run 10 on the treadmill. I wasn't worried about has I had done that distance before on the treadmill and I actually had a bunch of stuff on the DVR set to get me through. There was only one problem. A miss communication with my husband, see I thought I said:

You can start dinner and eat without me. I will be on the treadmill for at least 2 hours, so I will just eat when I am done.

He thought I said:

Start dinner in 20 minutes and get me when it's done.

I  was 4.5 miles into my run when he came to get me. I ended up getting off the treadmill and going up to eat. I was just going to eat light, rest for an hour and then finish the last 5.5 miles. The time came to jump back on the treadmill and my body was not having it. I kept telling myself just a little more stick to it. After 2.5 miles I was toast, my ankle fells well, but my hips were just tired.   I ended up going to bed early in hopes for a good night sleep. I couldn't fall asleep at first as I was freezing, my husband piled plankets on me and I passed out. I woke up sweating buckets and tossed all the blankets off me only to wake up a few hours later soaking wet. I think my body was fighting something off.  This morning I got up and went to spin class. It was rough and at times I just had to sit there an pedal while the rest of the class tackled this hills. I didn't have it in me to keep moving. I finished the class but it wasn't pretty.

My plan for this week:
Monday - Spin - Done
Tuesday - 3.7 for the Cupcake Classic
Wednesday - Spin
Thursday - 4 Mi w/ 2 @ 11:40 w/ 800 jogs
Friday - 4 Mi
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - 10 Mi @ 14:00 (will plan better for this 10 miler)

  3. I hate nights like definitely sounds like you were fighting something. Don't know if I could have handled a spin class the morning after. Hope you're feeling better, and great job on getting those workouts in.
