Weekly Weigh In and Accomplishments

I forgot to post this yesterday, but as of Friday I was down one pound for the week. I will take it as I am still trying to get back in the swing of things and keeping myself on track.

Yesterday I was thinking about what I have accomplished this year.
  • 2008-2010 -  I participated in 6 races
  • 2011  - I have raced and crossed the finish line on 6 races
  • I have plans for 5 more races and 1 fundraising walk (Seattle Brain Cancer Walk).
That will be a total of 12 events in 2011, two of them will be half marathons. I have actually been considering squeezing a few more into our already busy schedule, but we will see. My December has no races on the books so suggestions are always welcome.

Taking a moment to look back at this I have to be proud of how far I have come.  Self-reflection is good right, I never thought I would have come this far.

  1. Obviously not knowing what races are in your are, I can't recommend a specific race, but I would highly encourage you to run in any kind of jingle bell runs (we have lots of them in lots of cities to benefit the arthritis foundation) or any kind of run through the holiday lights or something with a Santa theme for your December. They are a LOT of fun and usually pretty laid back with everyone being in a festive mood!!! Good luck with your races this year. It sounds like it'll be a busy time for you!!!

  2. Nice job nearly doubling your races! I think races are addicting. I am always wanting to see how much better I can do than the last time I did it, or try new distances.

  3. Wonderful accomplishments, my friend! Way to go! I look forward to seeing what accomplishments come next! :)
