That's all I have

I have been slacking this week. I need to get our of my own way and stop making excuses. I  have not ran since Sunday. I want to, but then I find other things that need to get done and do them instead. Its like when you were in school and homework, you would do something clean your room even though you hated cleaning your room. Cleaning your room was better then doing homework.   I am not going to declare that today is the day to do better because while that sounds great I don't see it happening.  Where is the reset button for this week or maybe we just need to fast forward to Friday.

  1. I've been transitioning to am running...and I think it really helps to get it out of the way first thing. That way it's over and done with, and you can get on with your day!

  2. I always tell myself, "just 10 minutes and if it doesn't feel good you can stop." That usually works and it gets me out there. Good luck!

  3. Wow - both of the other comments are perfect and I've heard them MANY times - they are great reminders!!! So glad I didn't just read the post, but also the comments!!!

I'm not a super dedicated runner so . . . .this might not be the advice you want, but sometimes taking a week off does wonders for you both in physical recovery and a mental break. I'm not sure it's the end of the line so relax and rest up. If you're still off the wagon next week, we'll all kick you in the pants :) Enjoy this week and don't feel guilty!

Just my thoughts! The other gals have great advice though too!

  4. Haha! I love what commenter Jen said! I definitely have these days..
