Tuesday already!

I know most people are glad when Tuesday arrives as it is one day closer to Friday - but this week I am so busy. On top of being busy, I am in a fitness lull. You know that time when you feel like you just need a break - that is where I am at. The problem is I have my half on Sunday, I just need to push through and then I can rest for a few days. I did take my Bodybugg off on Friday and I think I am going to leave it off until after my half and then get back into tracking.  Taking the pressure off of me for tracking calories so I can use the rest of energy to finish this half marathon.

Today I  did a 4.75 mile run/walk - pushing a 36lb toddler, even in a jogging stroller is HARD! I forgot how difficult it was, plus we had a few stops along they way. Its nice to get your exercise and also take care of some errands along the way.

Plan for the rest of the week:
Wednesday - 6 Miles
Thursday - Upper body and abs
Friday  - 3 miles
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - Half Marathon

Of course the Question is what next? I don't really have any other races planned, I have some I am considering but I haven't registered for anything new yet. How many races do you have planned for May? What is your next big race?

  1. I feel like I am in a fitness lull too. I feel like I need a little break.

  2. Damn straight pushing a toddler is tough! I too am not yet in the workout groove I want to be in.
Yay for race week! As stressful as it is leading up to it, you'll feel such a great sense of accomplishment afterward.

  3. Just a few more days and you can have a well deserved rest. You've worked very hard the past few months.

I have a 10K race in 2 weeks and then nothing till September. I don't like doing races during Summer because of the heat. We all know what happened when I have to run in the heat :)
I might do some 5K's in Summer but decide on that a few days before the race so I can see if it's not too hot.

  4. It seems like at the end of a training cycle I'm always ready for a rest! You're almost there! And good job pushing that stroller. That should count for double the workout! Good luck this weekend!

  5. Very exciting! I hope you get good weather for Sunday. Oh, I remember pushing a jogging stroller (not while jogging, haha) - it is HARD! Happy training and resting this week, I'm so looking forward to hearing back from you on Sunday! (or whenever you get to an update, of course)
