Not so terrible Tuesday

The Plan - P90X - Chest, Shoulders and Triceps and Ab Ripper X  as well as get in a 4 mile run.

The Accomplishments - 3 mile tempo run and ab work at the gym and then tonight P90X - Chest, Shoulders and Triceps.

While it didn't go exactly as planned I am happy with what I accomplished. Today was my first attempt at a tempo run. I did a .25 mile warm up then alternated speeds each .25 of a mile. For the first time in a long time I ran at 6mph on the treadmill. While that is not much for most, that is a lot for me and I look forward to running longer at that speed.

I just entered my calories for the day and with the 100 I have left, I think I will have 2 small pieces of chocolate as my reward. Last week I started using 2 pieces of good chocolate at the end of the day as my reward. It helps me to resist the temptations through out the day with the promise of chocolate at night.

  1. I use dark chocolate too for a snack. The darker the chocolate the more fulfilled I feel with just a little piece.

    I think you did great on your tempo run. I don't watch speed of other people because we all are different and at different levels of running. What's important is that you ran on a faster speed, no matter what speed that was.
